Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Long Dog's yoga classes.

How can we register for a class or event?

Please use the connect form to express interest in scheduling a single intro class, event, or in purchasing a package. We will complete your registration by email.

For small group classes, you can gather your own playgroup of friends and neighbors (10 children maximum), or Long Dog can form a group of interested families who are available on similar days/times.

What equipment do we need for class?

Water and comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes are suggested. We will provide a yoga mat (and any relevant props) for each child, cleaned between uses. For Parent & Me classes, adult 1.5mm travel yoga mats can be provided if you do not have your own. Please let us know in advance.

Can other caregivers participate in the Parent & Me classes?

Parent & Me classes can be held with any caregiver in place of a "parent".  This can be an extended family member, close friend, older sibling, nanny, etc. as long as the child's parent has provided this information to us in advance and stated that the child is comfortable and safe in his/her care.

What if we need to reschedule?

Please email us directly at longdogyoga@gmail.com and provide no less than 2 hours notice before class is scheduled to begin. Rescheduling and refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. In event of inclement weather, class will be proactively postponed.

For parties and events, please inquire separately.

Can parents stay to watch the small group classes?

While parents are welcome to watch, we strongly encourage you to drop your kiddos off 10 minutes before class start time, take an hour to yourself, and arrive back to pick them up 5 minutes before class ends. This helps foster a sense of independence and excitement for kids to spend time with new friends.

Will my child be featured on your social media accounts?

Long Dog Yoga is a young, growing business, so we appreciate being able to create social media content that highlights our programming and spreads the word of our positive wellness experiences to more families. With that said,  we respect any parent's desire to keep their children off social media. If you would prefer your child not be featured in any social media content, please let us know at time of registration.
